Anyone with Toulouse Advice????????

Visiting friends who live in Toulouse. Don't want to be a burden so would love to plan some daytrips in the area. PLEASE HELP---we could have a car and might want to overnight one night. Want to stay in that area--have been to France often but not Toulouse area. Thanks.
