Does anyone have any feedback on either of these accomodations:
Hyde Park Quality Apartments
11 Inverness Terrace
London W2 3JL
Hyde Park Superior Apartments
30-34 Inverness Terrace
London W2 3JA
Contacting agency is London House at www.london-house.com
(We are 3--me, DH, and DD age 21; we will be in London for 4-5 nights next summer before renting a car for a week of touring; we've been to London before but not as a trio; we'd like to SAVE MONEY but stay somewhere rather central. This location looks fine, the pictures seem to show the apt. has all we'd need, and we like having the kitchen option over some B&B's I'm considering.)

Trip Ideas
Hi, I thought the address looked familiar and looked up an old email and we stayed at the apartments at 11 Inverness Terrace a few years ago.
In the photos on the website, they look a bit different, possibly some new furniture. One of the photos looks strange, unless it's been taken out the back somewhere - the photo on the website, third from the left on the top. The front of the buildings doesn't look anything like that so it must be the back, which we never saw.
They were doing up the flats when we stayed there. First we stayed in a very large ground floor room. It had a small bathroom with new fixtures, a bed, kitchen, couch and table and chairs. The size of the room was a bonus but because they hadn't done up that room yet, we got it at a decent price.
Then we moved to another apartment on the 2nd floor, in the same building. It was much smaller but everything was new, freshly painted, new kitchen, new bathroom etc. The room was just big enough for a double bed and a small table and chairs.
Both rooms were fairly comfortable but basic. Having a kitchen is a real advantage though, as it's expensive to eat out for every meal and there are lots of small grocery stores within 10 min walk so you can prepare breakfast and make simple meals. There wasn't the kitchen equipment to make anyhing elaborate. I think there was a microwave but no oven.
The area is fine, we liked it. It is full of what were once grand homes but lots are now small hotels or flats. Queensway is a 5 min walk away and is lined with lots of shops and restaurants. There are two tube stations on Queensway - Bayswater which is on the District and Circle Lines and Queensway station which is on the Central Line. If you are there over the weekend, having easy access to more than one tube line is a big advantage as often lines are shut for maintenance. You can also get a bus from Oxford Street. Hyde Park is a 10 min walk away.
By the way, we didn't use this agency and have not heard of them so may be worth checking them out if you can.
Best wishes
Kay
Thanks, Kay F--good info. Was it Imperial Choice Travel that you rented through?
Still hoping someone has had (good?) experience with this accomodation/agency.
Hi there, no we didn't use Imperial. I just checked the old email and it was a place called Visit in Style. What happened was we saw an ad for the apartments on The Gumtree website and emailed back and forth, the guy offered us a few different places so I suppose he was from an agency. After he gave us the address of the Inverness Terrace apartments, we just dealt directly with them. We were in London at the time so didn't have to deal with sending money overseas etc which is always a bit worrying.
You could check on www.slowtrav.com to see if this company is mentioned, they have a lot of apartment rentals on there.
