Anyone use Uber FROM Heathrow
Wife and I arrive at Heathrow Friday around 10:00 and need to get to our hotel. We are planning on using a car service rather than hassling with the tube or HEX/taxi.
We were wondering if anyone had just used Uber from Heathrow and how it went. I've used them to Heathrow but never from.
Thanks.

I've not, but in your position I'd be concerned at the practicalities.
Collecting passengers from LHR is a tricky business for anyone except black cabs - and many prebooked car firms agree by phone with the passenger a location that may be convenient, but breaks the airport rules.
I'd worry in your shoes how an app-driven system could deal with
that, and I can't find an answer on the Uber website. Neither, apparently, can many Uber drivers:

You might find the rest of the LHR thread on the Uber driver forum, or the BA Exec Club thread on Flyertalk (for example http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...nt-uber-6.html ), has more up to date information on what must be a rapidly changing situation.
When Uber's own operators appear to prefer finding alternative sources for getting passengers at one of the world's major cab locations, even a solipsist Web hero has to start listening.
However uncool listening to others seems to him.
