Just curious if any one has and what their experience was. Crowded? Interesting? Any pressure to buy?
Anyone taken the tour of the Sant'Anna ceramics works in Lisbon?

I once toured this factory but with a guide who's no longer in business. I don't know of any others at the moment but based on my experience I'd say that it is not crowded at all. In terms on interest, I think it will only appeal to those with a real appreciation of ceramics and tile art ("azulejos"). There was no pressure to buy. You don't even have to pass by the shop which has a separate entrance from the factory itself, however I do recommend you go to the shop even if you don't buy anything. It's a great way to see all the "finished products" displayed. If you're looking for similar attractions, here's a good list (which includes the Santanna factory): http://www.lisbonlux.com/culture/azulejos.html
