Anyone made Paris dinner reservations through reservethebest.com?

I was trying to make some dinner reservations for our trip to Paris on www.reservethebest.com and couldn't get my reservation to go through. For some reason, it wouldn't allow me to enter the date of our reservation - a pretty important detail, to say the least. It lets you open a calendar to look at the dates, but when I tried to click on the date, nothing happened.

So I typed a message in the "Comment" field explaining which date we want, but it still wouldn't go through because I hadn't chosen anything in the "Arrival Date" field. So now I'd like to e-mail the site to ask about this glitch, but I can't seem to find an e-mail address!

Has anyone else booked through this site? How was your experience?

Thanks!
Meredith

The e-mail address can be found under "contact"--when it's working, which isn't now. The site seems to be having a hiccup or something.

Yeah, clicking on "Contact" or "Who We Are" got me nowhere. Underhill, have you booked through them before?

Not I, but there have been some positive comments about the agency both here and elsewhere.

With so many wonderful restaurants in Paris, do you really need to make reservations so far in advance. The best places are those that you wonder upon. Bonne chance!

Reservations are a good idea for popular restaurants, especially during the busy months. An alternative to the do-it-yourself method is to ask your hotel's concierge to make the reservations for you. You're apt to get a better table that way, too.

Thanks for the advice. As of today, www.reservethebest.com still isn't working, so I think we may either reserve through our hotel or just e-mail the restaurant directly.

By the way, we leave for Paris three weeks from today - yippppeeeee!!!!

I used it to make a lunch reservation at Jules Verne. Worked like a charm. The only thing is you have to have a "local" phone number, so you need to have your hotel reservation first.

Maybe it will be running again tomorrow.

It's been a while, but I've used this service several times to make reservations at Violin D'Ingres, Le Trou Gascon, Spoon Food & Wine, and a few other restaurants where reservations are definitely required. I never had any problems. Good luck!

It might be that Europeans tend to put the day, month then year as opposed to month-day-year that we Americans use. Try inverting the day and month and write out the date in the comments section to make sure.
