Anyone know about Drawbridge to Europe apartment rentals?

Just found this site: www.drawbridgetoeurope.com
It looks like some really nice apartments in several countries, including nice ones in Rome, Venice, and Paris, and the prices seem very reasonable. Anyone know anything about them?

This barely a pertinent answer, Patrick, but I have received their printed brochure - - and it looked very nice, but high priced for the properties they had.

I've used four other companies with great satisfaction. You have probably seen my citing their names before.

BTW, can you let me know if you got an e-mail from me that I sent earlier today?

Best wishes,

Rex
Gee, Rex, I've checked most of those other sites and usually have not been impressed with the pictures of the apartments or their locations for the prices. The ones I checked on Drawbridge seemed much better -- not so much in Paris, but especially in Rome and Venice.

And no, I didn't receive an email from you today, unless it was one of the two daily virus infected messages with attachments that were caught and quarantined by Norton.

Patrick, I agree with you that those look pretty good for value--at least I did have them on my short list for Paris when I was looking. I think we have a similar opinion on ST vacation rental apts in Paris -- they are overpriced in general and there is a lot of inventory that is not very good.

I recommended them to someone for Paris not from personal experience, but because I had evaluated their prices and quality somewhat (ie, some agencies have the same apts and I could compare markups), and she said she did rent from them and had a good experience. I can't recall if it were someone who emailed me from another travel board or just from a post on here--I think it was on here and thus perhaps you could find her comments by a search on drawbridge.

Now that you mention it, Patrick, my mistake is comparing apples to oranges.

I have no experience browsing through _apartments_ in _cities_.

But for waht it's worth, I did recently suggest thios one from www.domani-usa.com and the person seeing it thought it was exactly what he/she was seeking:

http://www.domani-usa.com/rome/romeapts/vatican/portacastello/index.htm

I suppose you could question the location - - or maybe it is not a match for your needs.
Thanks, Rex. I just sifted through the Domani site. Actually I have no needs right now, just addicted to looking in the same way I'm addicted to coming to this site.
I did find a couple (one in particular) apartments in Rome that looked very nice and were fairly priced. But not unusually, they were either four or five floors up, no elevator. I love being central and popping in and out a lot. Although I live in a three story townhouse, I'm really not looking for a five flights up place for vacation.

P.S. I re-sent the e-mail with a note about e-mail address confusion. Let me know if you don't get it on this re-send.

Topping this thread to ask again if anyone's had experience with DrawbridgeToEurope.com.

They have a rental apartment (Ref. #813), Rue Maitre Albert which appears to be right on the Seine. I know this street because one of our hotels, Hotel de Notre Dame, is there. Wonderful location!

The picture I saw suggested that the apartment is in one of the buildings just beyond the Atelier Maitre Albert restaurant and the hotel, i.e. approximately middle of the street. The pictures of the funishings looked nice, indeed. At the price listed it would work out to about 187 euros per day while the hotel charges 150 euros, but of course, the hotel only offers one room and a small one for that price compared to the space that you'd get with the apartment.

Hey, Jm:

It's hard to tell on pagesjaune. I thought since it's #1 on the street, it would be right at the quai. But, you may be right. It looks like there may be another building between the apt. and the river. Still, can't be more than a few doors.

All I DO know, is I wish I were there...right now!
