Anyone familiar with these London apartments?

My husband, adult daughter and I are going to London for a week in February, and we'd like to rent a 2 BR, 2bath apartment in the Covent Garden area for $300 - $400 per night. We're looking at 2 apartments offered by London Connections. Does anyone have any experience with this company or these apartments in particular: 2-01 St. Martin's Lane and 2-12 West St? http://www.londonconnection.com/Prop...ity=1&log_op=1

Any other apartment suggestions would be welcome! Thanks so much for your thoughts.

I've never rented that expensive a flat so haven't stayed in either of those. But London Connections is a long established and well reviewed agency.

Both locations are very central w/ very good transport connections and convenient to sites.

Have not stayed at either of those properties but have rented from London Connections and have nothing but praise for them. The flat was exactly as described and pictured on the web site (maybe even a bit better in 3D) and everything worked. We got stuck behind the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano, and the local rep/agency worked with us. The transportation arranged to/from Heathrow arranged through them was also excellent. Overall, top marks.

I've rented 2-12 West Street for a week in mid-December so will be able to give you a first hand review next month. So far London Connections have been easy to deal with, responsive, timely.

Tonight is our last night at 2-12 West Street apt. The apt is large, light and clean. 2 bedrooms/2 baths and very much as described on the London Connection website.

The ensuite bedroom has a double bed and a queen bed. The bathroom includes a large walk-in shower. The other bedroom has a double bed. 2nd bathroom includes a tub with shower. Both bedrooms have large wardrobes so plenty of room for clothes/shoes/luggage. Wardrobes are equipped with plenty of hangers. Plenty of towels in the baths.

Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishes and flatware and pots and pans. There's a drip coffee maker. Stove/oven are regular size as are fridge and freezer. There's a dishwasher (didn't use it) and a washing machine/dryer combo. We did one load of wash, the washer worked fine but the load was too big so the dryer didn't work very well.

Living room is good size and very comfortable. Seating for 4 at the dining table but additional seating on the sofa/love seat. Building is quiet and secure and you don't hear much street noise. We did, however, hear sirens late at night some nights.

What else? Heat! Guests control the heat which works very well. Love the area! Minutes walk to Leicester Square tube, Covent Garden, British Museum, Oxford Street.

Would rent again in a heartbeat. Oh, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon is next door, my sister claims she can smell the cooking from her bedroom. I wish!!

Let me know if I can provide any additional info.
Pat.

Forgot to mention that each bedroom is equipped with a good hair dryer so no need to carry your own. We were told that the owners prefer guests use the provided hair dryers.

The wifi worked well. There's a telephone with voicemail service.

that's it!! enjoy your trip. Pat.
