You mean - like Samantha's mother on Bewitched?
yes to ski. Also great Spa-can't recall the name-starts with a C.
nice duty free bargains.
yup:
Tijuana East...most of those duty free bargains frenchwow mentions can be found in a strip that goes miles from the border to the capital (Andorra la Vella)...bumper to bumper, ticky tacky. Admttedly, once you get past this ugliness, the country has surrounding, majestic beauty. We rather enjoyed a short visit, found a very nicely situated hotel, The Andorra Park. Only if you're driving through the Spansh and French Pyrenees is it worth a visit, IMO..unless you're going to visit your money secreted in Andorra's heralded banking system
stu t.
The spa is called Caldea and it's wonderful. That said, it really was the ONLY thing that I enjoyed in my brief stay there.
I drove through from France on the way to Barcelona. We went on a whim, but kind of regretted it. The mountain roads up to and down from Andorra la Vella were stressful to drive and it took a lot longer than we had anticipated. The Pyrenees are beautiful, but I don't think there is much in Andorra for the typical traveler other than the duty free stuff and skiing or hiking (which you can do elsewhere in the region). On the other hand, you can always tell people that you have been to Andorra.
