Any suggestions on a place to stay in Plitvice?
We will be staying 1 night in May and wondered where you have stayed. We will have a car and plan on staying close to the park (not inside).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello,
My wife and I stayed in Grabovac, at the Plitvice House in 2008. It was very clean and spacious. It was probably about a 15 minute ride to the park. My wife's sister visited in June and stayed right across from the park. She said it was excellent. I'll try to get the name of the place if you like.

We stayed at House Tina, about 10 min drive from the Lakes. It is very poplular so book early. I booked a long way in advance and got a lovely large double room with a balcony. The owners are very hospitable and we ate dinner,2 nights, nearby.

It looks like we're a bit late to respond, but in case something falls through I thought I would respond.
We stayed at the Knezevic Guest House back in 2007. We enjoyed our stay and the family was great. It is an inexpensive stay, but we felt it was worth more than we paid. It is a few minutes drive to the main entrance of the park (technically, the guest house is in Mukinje, if my memory serves me). There was a quiant little pizzeria across the street, as well as a park/open green area. We were even able to catch a local soccer match in the nearby soccer field one afternoon/evening.
