Any experience with shuttledirect?

This looks to be a very large company, I asked a specific question and got a generated response. Has anyone had success using them for transport from an airport, I need it for LHR.

Never heard of them but looking them up it appears to be a Spain-based company. Looks like they might be franchises..

"Shuttles" don't do well ( or last long ) in London, they can't compete with the good public transport.

The problem is the OP can't really use public transport . . . trying to get from LHR to Tilbury Docks (with cruise luggage)

I gave her a link to Ray Skinner -- maybe he can do the job . . .

It does appear to be a consolidator for shuttle/driver services, like Viator is for tours. COuld be a useful idea, actually, if they contract with reliable partners. I checked for CDG, and the quote for a private car was slightly less than a taxi, so not bad if it works.

But I have never heard of anyone using them.

No, I wouldn't think they would be a useful idea in London where there are plenty of reputable car service. The OP's specific problem is they are traveling a very long distance and it will be expensive.

If a driver takes the logical route around the M25 it will be about 70 miles.

Ah, wasn't aware of that from the OP.

I'd like to say I'm a mind reader - but she has other threads . . . the devil is in the details
