Any experience with Polrail?
Moving this question from another thread. I purchased a 2 sleeper compartment Krakow - Prague through Polrail and they are holding the tickets until the day before my arrival in Krakow and will then deliver to my hotel. Any reason to doubt this procedure?

I think I mentioned this on your other thread, but I used Polrail to purchase the same last summer. However, I picked up my tickets in the train station upon arrival in Krakow from Warsaw. I don't think there's any reason to doubt this process. I guess you could worry about the delivery person messing up.

We also booked online with Polrail - overnight sleeper Krakow to Budapest. Our tickets were forwarded to the Post Office in Krakow. We received detailed instructions and directions and had no problem picking them up.
When booking the tickets we paid 99 Euros/person (I think) as we booked close to our travel time) but ended up getting a substantial refund as Polrail were able to purchase a cheaper fare for our journey. We would never had known about the reduced fare, and had agreed to the higher fare - so I was extremely impressed with their service and honesty.
P.S. It was thanks to Man_in_seat_61's replies to to my queries that we ended up booking our two overnight sleeper journeys. So glad we did. It was a great way to travel long distances without wasting a whole day!!

I know this is an older thread but I just noticed a very significant refund on my Visa card from Polrail for tickets we have purchased for travel next month. I am hoping our situation is the same as HelenJ's.
The price they are quoting on their website remains the same as what they initially charged us.

STAY AWAY FROM POLRAIL! This agency is a huge rip off!! I was charged a total $377 dollars for 3 tickets from Krakow to Prague by Polrail. Later I found out the total cost of the directly with the train company (Deutsche Bahn) was only $130 dollars!!!!
POLRAIL charged an extra $247 dollars for its services! Crazy!!
