Antibes and Toulon France

We are spending a day in each city while on a ship. Is anyone familiar with these and could give information on what to see?

Antibes has a Picasso museum not to be missed if you are a fan.

I've been to both but years ago. Eating in Antibes was, and still is I believe, a much better value than Nice.

Toulon is home to the French Navy. The narrow streets were lined with bars and well populated by ladies of the night. It was sort of a grade B movie set. The dock area had a carnival/fair atmosphere with all kinds of goods for sale, mostly from Africa. Please send back a report. I would like to know how it is now.

Antibes is very nice and quaint.
Toulon is not.

You have basically 2-3 streets with shops which are agreable. Then you have 2 enormous main streets and some old nice buildings but nothing real fancy.
The bay is nice though. You also have a very big 'mall' but I don't suppose you go in Toulon to buy a kitchen.

Antibes : the old town (+ the provençal market on the cours Masséna in the morning), the Picasso Museum, the Vauban port with the "Quai des Milliardaires" (mega yachts).

Toulon : the old town (+ the provençal market on the cours Lafayette in the morning), a visit of the harbour on a boat, the cable car to mont Faron (http://toulontourisme.com/en/things-...to-mont-faron/)

Have fun !
