Andalucia Itinerary

Hello everyone. My wife and I are heading to Andalucia this November and I'm trying to plan our itinerary. We are looking to take things slow on our trip. Focusing on eating, drinking and sipping espresso. This is what I'm thinking...

Day 1: Flight to Seville (Arrive 6:30 pm)
Day 2: Seville
Day 3: Seville
Day 4: Seville
Day 5: Seville
Day 6: Seville to Granada
Day 7: Granada
Day 8: Granada
Day 9: Granada
Day 10: Granada
Day 11: Granada to Ronda
Day 12: Ronda
Day 13: Ronda to Seville
Day 14: Seville to Home (11:00am Flight)

My biggest questions are on number of days in each city and the order in which we are visiting them.

Thanks!

That is a luxury of time in each place, especially compared with most itineraries. But, it is not easy to give much feedback when you have not given us any specifics about what you want to see/do in each place. If it is leisure, then this is more than sufficient!
I would try to arrange things where all of your time is in Sevilla at the end if possible (unless accommodations are already booked). You might accomplish this with a brief visit to Cordoba, where I was glad to have an overnight. I know arriving at 6:30 pm you may not wish to travel onward, but Cordoba is not very far, even via train.
Are you renting a car?

Thanks for the response.

So you are suggesting, arriving in Seville at 6:30 and taking a train to Cordoba, then to Granada - Ronda - Sevilla?

I wasn't planning on renting a car but I can. We just didn't want the added stress if its difficult to drive there.

Yes, but if that is too much for your first night, I understand, I just hate to split city stays if I can help it--and Cordoba is wonderful to experience as more than a day trip IF possible.
No need for a car, and if you just want to enjoy these cities without a car, no harm there. I have to admit I would get a little stir crazy, but there are some day trips you can do via public transport, and certainly no need for a car to get from place to place. The bus system is excellent in addition to the train. Driving is not bad, but parking can be.
While in Ronda, if you like walking, there is a lovely hike that is very accessible by public transport:

Your itinerary is good. Stay in Seville at first but take a few days from Granada and spend them in Cordoba.

Should be a great trip!

I absolutely adored Cordoba -- I had two full days there, and would have liked more. Although it can be visited as a day trip from Sevilla, you might consider adding a stop there.

Like yorkshire, I think it would make most sense to put all of your time in Sevilla at the end of your trip -- that way, you'll be there in plenty of time for your departure. I like yorkshire's suggestion for routing -- leave Sevilla ASAP for Cordoba and then follow her route.

I wouldn´t leave Sevilla ASAP, if you want to take things slow on our trip is makes non sense to run away...so just enjoy Sevilla but try to go to differents places, I suggest:

Day 1: Flight to Seville (Arrive 6:30 pm)
Day 2: Seville
Day 3: Seville
Day 4: Seville
Day 5: Seville to Cordoba https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3etLlvo1v4
Day 6: Cordoba
Day 7: Cordoba to Granada
Day 8: Granada
Day 9: Granada
Day 10: Granada to Antequera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKWhBT95g18
Day 11: Antequera to Ronda
Day 12: Ronda
Day 13: Ronda to Seville
Day 14: Seville to Home (11:00am Flight)

You can arrive back to Sevilla the evening before them you don´t split your stay in Sevilla, you are just there to be ready for your departure.

Second Bedar's opinion: "Your itinerary is good. Stay in Seville at first but take a few days from Granada and spend them in Cordoba."

And alvamo's suggestion of putting in Antequera is aslo a very good one. Would be a different and laid-back small-town experience.

Antequera is known as "the heart of Andalucía" or "the crossroads of Andalucía". Almost right in the middle of the Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada, Málaga rectangle. Here you'll find dolmens (some 5000 years old burial chambers), Roman baths, a Moorish Castle, Gothic churches, Renaissance fountains and Baroque bell towers. Antequera was the first of the Granada emirate towns to fall to the Christians in 1410.

I love the terrace in the corner of the peaceful Escribano square in front of the Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor, the first partly Renaissance-style church in Spain (built 1514-1550). Up here it's totally peace and quiet. Next to the recently excavated Roman baths beneath and looking up on the 13th century Moorish alcazaba/fortress. Great views over unique landscapes (the spectacular Torcal limestone mountain, the Lovers leap etc.). This is perhaps my favourite spot in all of Spain. http://www.wild-about-travel.com/201...ing-antequera/

So, there are trains between all these above mentioned cities? I too would rather not rent a car if train or bus is possible. We will be there starting Oct. 8th. I am just starting to make plans for our trip, so sorry that I have not checked the train routes yet.
