Amsterdam vs Italy and May vs June
Need some suggestions between Amsterdam vs Italy.
Two other places are kinda fixed or must Paris and Switzerland.
I would like to add one more in my 12-13 days of euro trip.
Few points: this is my first euro trip and i am traveling with 3.5 year old

I love both Amsterdam and Italy! If you choose Italy, I would choose 3 nights in Venice, and skip Milan for this trip. Both Amsterdam and Venice will be more challenging with a child that age, what with lots of canals and water in each city plus many fast bicyclists in Amsterdam.
The biggest question is what you and your child are interested in doing in either location

of course ! At the very least Charleroi produced incredibly great people (my father my mother and my brother for instance). And ME !
And I even worked in Auvelais - another technical miracle.
In case anybody wants to visit ...

Getting back to the question, Amsterdam plus two more cities will be an easier itinerary. Fly in to Amsterdam, fly home from Paris (or Zurich) using a multi-destination ticket; high-speed trains between the cities. Do it in reverse if you prefer.

vbansal- what is the rest of your trip?
Personally, I would do Italy with a young child vs. Amsterdam. My wife and I went to AMS 2.5 yrs ago alone without our then 4yr old. While I LOVED Amsterdam, I couldn't picture us there with our child so little. The best part of being there is cycling around everywhere as we did for 4 days. Also, the food isn't the greatest. Italy is a better option with your child in my humble opinion.

Thank you all for your suggestions...
@casacruz1111, I have two tentative itinerary that we are discussing here.
1st one :
Amsterdam and nearby cities ( 3N )
Paris ( 3N )
Switzerland ( 4N )
depart from zurich, having a buffer of 2 days in 12 days plan.
2nd One :
Instead of Amsterdam, i will go to Milan ( 1N ) and Venice (2N) from Switzerland and depart from either Milan or Venice.
Would like to explore beaches, alps, canals, European architecture etc ..

Traveling with a 3 1/2 year old may make your travel quite challenging. You have never been to Europe and want to see Paris in 2 days? What do you expect to see and do in Switzerland in 3 days? Amsterdam and what nearby cities in 2 days?

I wish you a fantastic trip to Europe with your child. You may want to choose one or two cities (Paris/London/Lucerne), rent an apartment, explore the sights, but allow plenty of park time, playground time, and down time. Does your child still take a nap most days? That can be a great time for you to plan for the next day/relax as well. Plus having a kitchen can be a lifesaver for a few simple meals here and there, especially to have breakfast and snacks at the ready. The three cities I mentioned have parks, boat rides, some other amusements oriented toward children. You'll be surrounded by European architecture and in Switzerland, those magnificent Alps. Your "beach" requirement might be a little elusive in this part of Europe, but there are rivers in Paris and London and a lake in Lucerne. I would only pick two to minimize the checking in and out and changing cities part, which can be challenging with a small child. I think any of these would be a lot of fun with a young child.

Do what you think is best for you and your family. However, being it's your first time, you will have plenty to see and do with just going to Paris 4N and the rest in Italy, for instance. Even then, you won't have enough time and will be dying to return soon enough. With that being, I would definitely choose Venice over AMS with your child.
Safe travels!
