Amsterdam Marriott Renaissance

Has anyone stayed here recently? From past posts & on another travel site it sounds like this hotel could use some renovating. We will be using the trains quite a bit, so this hotel is in a more convenient location than the Amsterdam Marriott. However, the AMS Marriott seems nicer. Can anyone shed some info on this????

Thanks in advance.

I went by the other day and thought that indeed it looked shabby. We used the Radisson SAS which I highly recommend.

We stayed there on a very good rate on Priceline and it was fine. Nothing great (except for the com chocolate at the reception desk and coffee in the morning). They upgraded us to a suite the second time there, which was nice of them. Location is walking distance from the train station, which sounds like a plus for you.

I totally disagree with Graziella5b...perhaps she was stoned.

Friends of us stayed there last summer pre-cruise. They were very happy with this hotel.

I was stoned and it still was fine! (Infact, even finer)
