Amsterdam, KLM

I am due to fly to Bangkok on Thursday on KLM. Many airlines are offering deferment of flights departing up to about `15th November but not KLM.
Official advice in the UK on the FCO website is that we shouldn't go.
Why is KLM out of step with other major airlines? Can anyone shed any light on this?
