Amsterdam in one day- hotel location?

Jump to last reply

We will arrive in Amsterdam about 8 pm in late November on our way back to the US. We decided to stay over an extra night so we could devote a day to a quick tour of Amsterdam. Is there a particular area of the city in which we should book our hotel?

I'm figuring we'll do a canal tour (assuming they run in late November), the Anne Frank Museum, The Rijksmuseum, maybe the Van Gogh Museum and hit some of the other highlights on the Frommer's One Day list. I'm just beginning my research so I know I might be a bit optimistic with our time and endurance!

The first thing is to find a hotel, thus my question.

Thank you!
