amsterdam and other

Hello, I think I want to visit amsterdam but what other places would I be able to visit on the same trip?

That depends on how long your trip is, how you plan on getting around, what interests you, when you will be travelling...

I am not sure... I think maybe a week. I am interested in everything, (not really tourist)- but seeing and experiance. When is the best time to go to Amsterdam?

well maybe Amsterdam and Paris or Amsterdam and then head south to Germany. If you like tulips? then go at the end of April and you could experience Queen's Day too.

We were in Amsterdam in August a couple years ago and it was great. There were some street festivals and live music in the park type things going on. The bike riding was superb. There were lots of people out and about having fun.

This was part of a 2 week trip in which we also visited Brussels, Bruges, and Delft.

Amsterdam and Paris can be done in the same trip. You said you have a week, right? I wouldn't plan any more than 2 cities in a week though.

You can take the Thalys train between the 2 cities takes about 3 1/2 hours. If you buy your ticket early, you can travel pretty cheaply too.
