Amsterdam Airport
I am going to Rome over the Christmas holidays and booked via hotwire. I have a 4-5 hour layover in Amsterdam flying KLM each way. I am not complaining because I did get a price that was much lower than booking through airline sites.
Are there showers in the Amsterdam airport? I know some major airports have them, but I am totally unfamiliar with Amsterdam.
Are there cots you can sack out on? That would seem to be the best way to spend the layover--laying down.
Thanks for your help.

I googled and found the site for the airport. They show that there are showers available at a cost of 12.50 at the Mercure Airport within the airport. You might want to Google and explore the site.

Amsterdam's airport is very good; lots of facilities. There's even a part of the Rijksmuseum there, and also a Casino. I'm sure I have seen showers there somewhere, and if you go up to the area near where the KLM lounges are (on the first floor) there's a quiet area with very comfortable chairs, where you could sleep.

I believe the Mercure Hotel rents day rooms. There are sleeper seats available in certain areas. You can take an organised tour of Amsterdam including a canal trip in a couple of hours- info available on web site or at the airport when you arrive.
