Amboise area B&Bs
We (2 adults, early 60s) are going to Paris, then the Loire for a few days in early October. We're looking for recommendations for charming B&Bs in or around Amboise, not too expensive (150 euros, hopefully including breakfast). A small hotel would be OK as well. Also, any recommendations about specific chateaus to visit, wine tasting or other activitites would be nice.
Thanks.
Thanks.

We stayed at a lovely B&B in Chenonceaux called "La Roseraie", www.hotel-chenonceau.com. It's in a great location walking distance to the Chenonceaux Chateau. Their prices are very reasonable and the restaurant connected to the small hotel serves delicious meals. Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. Be sure not to miss the Chambord Chateau, also, and Chateau Clos Luce, where Leonardo de Vinci lived in Amboise.

I also like La Roseraie and it is wonderful but it is a hotel, not a chambre d´hote (B&B).
Here are a few suggestions for chambres d´hotes in this area:

And another hotel:

Without a doubt, I would stay at Le Vieux Manoir, in Amboise!

you can search by map or by town.
have a great trip!

I stayed twice years ago in Onzain - halfway between Blois and Ambois, across the Loire from Chaumont. Stayed at
www.chateau-tertres.com
Nice view of the chateau of Chaumont from the front.

Near Amboise we stayed at Auberge de Launay, a delightful small inn with about 15 rooms and a very nice restaurant. We loved the place.

Not sure if Chinon is too far away for you. We stayed at Logis Saint Mexme and LOVED it. We were almost afraid because it was so inexpensive. Their larger room was 83 Euros per night.
We also really loved the town of Chinon. It isn't as big as Amboise, but it had lots of great restaurants and was a short drive away from Amboise and lots of sites.

Thought I would follow up and let you all know we booked at Chateau de Pintray, a bit outside of Amboise. Very well reviewed on Trip Advisor. It's 110 euros including a breakfast which the guests also rated highly. Merci for your suggestions!
