Amalfi Coast / Greek Isles Itinerary

Jump to last reply

We are in our 60's and are contemplating a trip with our 25 y/o daughter to the Amalfi Coast of Italy combined with Santorini, Greece + Crete ( and Athens, late May - mid June (approx. 15 nights). This is a rough itinerary. I've not yet studied up on Ferry schedules nor our local flights but would love to know any suggestions about this. We are mid-range budget people (3 - 4 star hotels)

Fly LAX to Naples
3 nights in Sorrento (visit Pompeii, Capri)
Private guide transfer by road to Positano.
2 nights Positano
Boat to Salerno, fast train to Rome
2 nights Rome
Fly FCO to either Santorini or Crete (what airlines fly this route??)
3 nights Santorini then ferry to Crete or vice versa (What do I need to know about using the ferries?)
Fly from Crete (or Santorini) to Athens
2 nights Athens, then fly home.
