Amalfi Coast for 6 women - 50th Birthday

I'm looking for a house with 4-6 bedrooms for 4-7 women in October of 2017. My husband and I have been to the Amalfi Coast and loved it. We stationed out of Sorrento and took the ferry to Capri and Positano. We visited Pompeii and Paestum.
My friends and I are turning 50 and I'm looking for a house to rent which would be in Sorrento, Positano or on Capri. We will not have a car (don't want one), and will take day trips to the surrounding towns. We realize we can't take the ferry at night and will have dinner wherever we choose to have a house.
I really need help here. There are so many houses on VRBO and Air B&B. I'm looking for a "word of mouth" wonderful place and equally as amazing landlord. My friends and I are all well travelled, are wine lovers and foodies and wish to be away from hubbies and kids and just enjoy being with each other. We love to shop and I thought ceramic shopping would be in order as well as clothing and shoes. Really it's just to relax and take in the scenery.
My husband and I enjoyed Sorrento, Ravello and Positano for the food and people watching. Any advice on where to stay and what to do will be helpful. We may go see Pompeii, but not Paestum. I enjoyed it, but I will recommend that they see Paestum before or after our "girls trip".

You may want to check out a post that I made before our trip to the AC (also for my 50th birthday). While we stayed in a hotel, I seem to remember a few houses/parents that were suggested....those might help you. One had two or three apartments that could be rented together that might be a choice.

If you ladies want to visit a winery for a tasting, take a look at Swirl the Glass. They offer several trips and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Tenuta San Francesco in Tramonti. The tasting was done with a full lunch and the property was lovely!

I love my sandals that I had made in Positano. I had to get two pair because it was just too good to get shoes made while you wait. The TR link is below, if you are interested?

Enjoy your trip!

I don;t see where you say how long the stay is. If 4 nights or less I would stay on the mainland due to the difficulty of getting to/fro Capri at night. If longer, perhaps split with part of the time on Capri and part in a city on the mainland.

In looking for properties, which we have yet to be able to use due to family issues, we found one problem is that many are for families and so have often have a couple of bedrooms with bunk beds to accommodate lots of kids. We had trouble finding one that had 4 bedrooms suitable for adults (with at least double beds). Also not that king in europe is queen in the US.

You can have a look the Valle delle Najadi at booking. This is situated in Vietri sul Mare (first town in the amalfitan coast). The biggest apartment has 4 bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, one with two single beds and two rooms with a single bed, a kitchen, bathroom and a beautiful terrace with a beautifull view.
From Vietri sul mare it's easy to get to the highway, trainstation and Salerno to get the boat to Capri and you can take the bus to Amalfi or the bus to Pompeii.
An other solution is that you come to Albori, one of the most beautifull towns of Italy, it belongs to Vietri but it is a little up on a mountain.
You can rent Pepperland where you have two bedrooms with a kingsize bed and a living room with a convertible sofa bed, two bedrooms and a kitchen with dishwasher. I manage this apartment (pepperland) and we are open since june this year.
Both places are different, but beautifull and adapted for six persons, but without car perhaps the valle delle najadi is a better place..

A house may work out for you, but you may have better luck with looking for two units that are near one another.

A lot of the larger villas in the area are outside the town of Positano and present a problem with getting to public transportation. We stayed at the Villa Punta Del Sole on the highway going into Positano, and loved it, but staying there requires a lot of walking and encountering lots of steps.

Send a note to Daniel at Vacanza Bella through his website. He may be able to help you with your request. Have worked with him several times.
