Amalfi Coast

Hi,

I am looking for budget accommodation on the Amalfi Coast preferably in a small village near the sea. Cetara was my favourite, but can't find any accommodation there. I will be travelling alone and was hoping to stay with a host family.

any assistance much appreciated.

Thanks
Louise

There are three b&bs in Cetara. I found mine through Trip Advisor. You might check Salerno instead.

I've heard that Holiday House Gilda (just outside of Positano) is great, but can't vouch for it myself. I'll be there next week, though, so can let you know how it goes.

Also, check the b&bs listed on tripadvisor. You can sort them by ranking and if you select Positano, for example, it will show you many b&bs and guesthouses outside of Positano proper.

Read reviews about Villa Oriana in Sorrento http://www.villaoriana.it: they all agree on the warmth of the family welcome they received from D'Esposito owners. And, as for a family stay, chats and homemade cakes!

thank you everyone for your help. I have found a lovely place in Massa Lubrenske. La lobra. I have now got a week (1 - 7 September 2013) to fill in the South. Although bit concerned about the heat?!!. Was thinking of a cruise? maybe to Sicily. Any ideas.
