Alilaguna or shuttle/Vaporetti - which one?
Hi,
My husband and I are travelling to Venice in May. Trying to decide which is the best way to get from the airport to Rialto bridge around 7pm in the evening (we are staying in Pensione Guerrato).
Alilaguna would be about $33 total for both of us, about 54 minute ride to Rialto bridge. Bus/Vaporetti would be about $19, with a 20 min bus ride and 30 min vaporetti ride. Comes out to be about the same timewise...
It seems like Alilaguna would be worth it, since there's only 2 of us and for $14 more, I've heard it's a cool way to see Venice for the first time.
Any thoughts/advice? Would the $14 extra be worth it?
Thank you!!

"Oh, I forgot to mention that we probably won't be getting the Vaporetti passes since we'll only be there for 1 full day."
How do you leave and at what time? Will you need to ride a vaporetto to the train station, car rental, or cruise terminal? An 24-hour unlimited travel card is 18 euro--that's arrival, departure, and one more ride (6.50 per ride individually)

We took the bus from the airport and both my husband and I recall it as being lloonngg and through an unattractive area. Second time we arrived by train from Rome and what a fabulous arrival. Walk out the doors of the station and, bang, Venice is before you. Going back for our third time in July and we'll try the aliliguna.
