Aix-en-Provence TGV station to the town of Aix

We are taking the TGV from Paris to Aix. The station is a bit of a ways into town. What is the best way to get to the town? Shuttle, local train, taxi?
Thanks

Hi Sarabeth,

Local train is not an option. Shuttle buses run quite frequently and are cheap but it means you'll have to get from the bus stop in Aix to your hotel with luggage etc. Taxis are easy and relatively inexpensive, so that can work as well.

Follow the signs at Aix TGV to the Navettes. These are the shuttles. The bus station in Aix is less conveniently located than formerly, but you may be able to walk to your accommodation if traveling lightly. Otherwise, Kevin is right about taxis.

How many are there of you? A Navette is approx 10euro a head and a taxi about 50euro.

Thanks for the replies. There are 2 of us, we'll take the navette. Luckily, we are staying at Hotel Cezanne which is just 3 blocks from the station.
Oh, can we buy tickets online?

Just buy the tickets as you get on the bus.

You can always ask Hotel Cezanne to get a Taxi set up for you. Just email them.

I don't know how or why you are pulling up very old threads, but they went almost 10 yrs ago.
