Airports in France - help with transport between them

We are arriving at Charles DeGaulle airport on Norwegian Air and then need to get to Orly
Airport for a connecting flight. Our arrival is at 12:00pm and connecting flight departs at 5:00pm.

What is most reliable and quick transport between airports to ensure arrival at Orly 2 hrs. before departure. Not sure how long it will take to go thru passport control and claim luggage at CDG as
I have not been thru Paris in a long time. Is 2 hrs. enough time for check-in at Orly?

This trip will take place end of April, 2018 and could be a busy time.

Or, would it be best to stay overnight?

Thank you for your help.

The RER "B" has one line that goes to Antony where you can catch the Orlyval train.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orlyval

It probably is the most reliable way of going there as you miss all the road traffic.

Hi travelnaia,

There is also Le Bus Direct line #3, which just goes between the two airports.

http://www.lebusdirect.com/en/lines-...port-line.html

They say it runs every 20-30 minutes, and the journey takes about 80 minutes. The fare is 36€. A taxi would be a bit faster, but I don't know what a taxi fare might be.

Have fun as you plan!

Taxi is about40 min and about 60 euros last I did it.
Bus is the worst of 2 worlds imo. Slower and subject to traffic jams.
And not cheap.
I take most of time RER.

Thank you for replies.

How much time should we allow for getting from DeGaulle to Orly...
(1) using the RER "B" ....or

(2) using the LeBus Direct Line B?....

I am nervous about the long lines on arrival at passport control and security lines on departure especially since we should be at Orly at least 2 hrs. in advance of departure flight.

We have about 3 hrs. as transit time from CDG to ORY. Is this enough time?

Thanks, again.

Probably, I got through immigration and got my checked luggage in only an hour at CDG last month. Security is for departures, not arrivals.

Hi again,

Well, I gave you the time frame for using the bus. You may have to wait 30 minutes for the next one, and the journey time takes 80 minutes. So I would allow at least 120 minutes .... 2 hours.
