Airport Transfer in Nice

We are expected to arrive in Nice airport from Barcelona at 10.40 pm on the 12th Mac (Friday night) and we are booked in Four Points - Sheraton Elysee Palace on the Promenade.

Any advise on how best to get to the hotel at this late hour? Are there any shuttle bus services or taxis? We do not speak any european language except for English and would like to avoid any arrangmeents that require the hassle to communicate and bargain and to hopefully avoid being scammed by unscrupulous transporters.

Aprreicate any asistance.

Although your flight is arriving late, there should be legitimate taxis waiting in the taxi rank just outside Arrivals.

Nice airport is quite close to the Promenade, but as you'll see on this website, taxis aren't particularly cheap:

The buses into town run late enough that you could also take a bus - see http://www.lignedazur.com/presentation/?rub_code=36 for links to the schedules. If you plan to take buses while you're in Nice you can buy a transport pass at the airport (booth outside the terminal).

The airport shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes from 12pm to 1am during APRIL to SEPTEMBER.

In any event the city is close and taxis are quite cheap for the trip.

I would avoid a taxi if you can. There are a lot of problems with the taxis here in Nice, especially at the airport. A lot of overcharging and they hide the meter and then reset when you arrive so quickly that you are unable to see what it read. We live here and avoid it if possible. My partner who is French travels often for business and it is a hassle for him as well, so it is not just tourists. It is much better regulated in Paris (never had this type of problem there), here the police turn a blind eye to the situation. The last time he had a client in from Portugal, they were charged 40€ to the center of Nice, incredible.
