Airport to Piraeus
I will be arriving in Athens at 5:30pm, and I am staying in Piraeus because I will be taking an early ferry to Mykonos the next morning. What is the easiest/quickest way to get to Piraeus by public transport? What does it cost? How long does it take? Is there a schedule online?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There is an Express Bus ( X 96 ) from the Airport to Piraeus
Here is the timetable in english :
http://www.oasa.gr/xmap.php?id=px96&lang=en
You should get off at Stathmos Isap which is the metro Station directly at the port ( Green Line).
It should take between 60 -90 min depending on traffic.
The price is 5 Euro per person.

See my reply to your other post. The main port for ferries to Mykonos is Rafina, which is nearer the airport than Piraeus. There are several hotels overlooking the harbour, five minutes walk to the Rafina ferry docks. The two I am familiar with are Avra and Corali. I've stayed at Avra, which has nice rooms and a good breakfast.

You can use the subway as well. The M3 line is starting from airport and you have to change to line M1 in Monastiraki. Here is the map

It is a way much easier, safer and faster way to go to Piraeus in my personal opinion

A simple question, a simple answer and then someone has to go and confuse the issue for the OP.
Take the bus. You do have to decide whether you are going to Piraeus or Rafina. Check which your ferry is actually leaving from.

If you decide to go to Rafina instead of Piraeus, here is the timetable of KTEL.
It takes about 30 min and price is 3 Euro per person.
The website is only in greek....

Δευτέρα - Παρασκευή = Monday - Friday
Κυριακή & Σάββατο = Sunday and Saturday

We did the bus - not very fast but I'd probably prefer that to the metro. Do be aware, the bus is not just to the port - people getting on and off along the way but at no point was it very crowded (might be different in the evening). The metro on the other hand - PACKED! and also some tricky folks on board. I think it would be faster but I tink the bus is probably your better option.

Clausar - checking some details....
The bus is NOT non-stop is it? from the airport to Pireaus?
I am looking at the schedule and I think I understand it - several departures most hours?
So if we get off at Stathmos ISAP - we can buy the ferry tickets (to Naxos) nearby? and the boarding to the ferry is also nearby? or should be buy tickets at the airport? we will be arriving from Istanbul on Aegean Air.
Thank you for helping the clueless!

There are some stops on the way, this is a very long ride of about 50 kilometres.
Stathmos Isap is the endstation of the green metro line, you cane asily reach the dock from there and there are many agencies selling tickes, plus there should be a booth directly at the dock.
I think others that have used boats more than me will know more details about the boots of the companies that are selling their tickets.
I have the convenience of buying them in any travel agency near my house...

One thing more you need to do with clausar's link for the KTEL Attica bus to Rafina: the website automatically defaults to Αθήνα, which is the departure from central Athens. To get the timetable for Athens Airport - Rafina, open the drop down menu and click on Αεροδρόμιο Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος, which is the airport.
Regarding the X96 bus from the airport to Piraeus: it is an express bus, so it goes non-stop from the airport to the Cyclades docks in Piraeus. A couple of times when I've been on the bus it has dropped off airport workers en route, but they don't carry luggage, so are easy to tell apart from tourists. I've always gotten off at the first stop, which is for ferries to Naxos, Paros, etc. I believe the bus carries on to the Dodecanese docks, but I've never ridden it that far.

Clausar, when I've saved that link in the past it has always reverted back to Αθήνα. Either I've been doing something wrong or the website has been improved. You were correct the first time, so my apologies. ;-)

In my opinion is faster and easier. You have to use the blue-white line and change to green-white. The walking is about 100 meters? And the last stop of the green-white is directly outside the port. No traffic, no long waits on every stop. I had used this route many times and it is always the best solution
