Airfares to Frankfurt

We will be going to Frankfurt on September 6 and flying back from Paris on September 22. I have been searching for fares and find them quite expensive this year. Most of the tickets seem to run over $900. In past years I do not remember paying as much as this. Do you think they will lower the fares? Or do I need to go ahead and get them now? We will be flying from Memphis. What doyou suggest?

I think you have missed 2 big fare sales. Have you checked open jaw fares on Expedia and Travelocity? You might be better off to fly RT to/from Frankfurt and take the train from Paris to Frankfurt.

Hi Lynda,

You are somewhat late for finding lower air fares for Sept, but something might come up if you keep searching diligently.

You might want to try http://airtravelcenter.com/indexb.html

Go to "A mix....." and click.

They have flights from about $740 plus.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Amsterdam in late September. I got a great deal from priceline.com just last week. 2 roundtrip tickets from Boston to Amsterdam for $850. You may be able to get a great fare to Frankfurt.

Good luck.

How firm are your dates? One problem is that you are departing on Saturday; if you were to go Thursday instead, it would probably be cheaper.

If you've not tried them already, check with autoeurope.com and eltexpress.com. As mentioned above, travel on weekdays will be cheaper.
