Leaving from Dulles Airport, Washington, D.C. on Air France to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Several hours after landing, I will connect on an Air France flight to Bordeaux. Does my checked luggage automatically transfer from the IAD-CDG Air France flight to the Bordeaux (BOD) flight?
Also, do I go through customs/passport control when I get off the Washington flight in Paris? My ticket shows the terminals as landing from Washington in terminal 2E, and then leaving from 2F for Bordeaux.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, merci.

Passport control at your first European airport (here CDG); you won't see checked bags there but will go through customs after claiming them at BOD.
