Agrigento to Siracusa Bus Schedule: Southern Route

From Agrigento to Gela (passing through Palma and Licata): www.autolineesal.it

From Gela to Siracusa (passing through Ragusa and Noto): www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it

There is also train service from Licata and Gela to Siracusa: www.trenitalia.com

This is the "Southern Route", slower but more scenic than the faster bus connection through Catania.

It is also possible to travel the "Southern Route" in one day all the way from Agrigento to Siracusa. This involves a combination of bus and train. For example, the "SAL" bus leaves Agrigento (Monday through Saturday only) at 11:45, and arrives in Licata at 12:45. A train leaves Licata at 13:01 and arrives in Siracusa at 17:30 (there is a 45 minute connection in Gela). On the return trip, a train leaves Siracusa at 10:10 and arrives in Licata at 14.10. The "SAL" bus leaves Licata (Monday through Saturday only) at 15:05 and arrives in Agrigento at 16:05. Most travelers, however, would much prefer the faster bus connection through Catania.
