We will be arriving at CDG about 11:30 on a Friday in lent. From there we will check in to a hotel in the 6th near Montparnasse, probably by taxi. We would like to attend the Veneration held at 3:00 at Notre Dame and I'm pretty confident we can get there by 3:00, but are there long lines to get in? How long past 3:00 will they present the relics and will they wait until the entire line has passed or is there a time limit?
Thanks for any help!

There is a report from 4 years ago about the procedure for the Veneration of the holy relics:
http://ikangaroo.com/2008/11/13/paris-guide-to-visiting-the-crown-of-thorns/
They say about 30 min before the end (around 3.45 pm), the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre who act as stewards start stopping people from joining the line for veneration, so you need to be there quite early, and take a seat in the central seating area. If you aren't in the area, you may be unlikely to get the chance to venerate individually.
Thank you Alec! That's exactly what I was looking for.
