Advice on tour company for Greece trip

We are in the process of trying to plan a trip to Greece for my 80 year old mother. There will be 4 of us in the group, ranging in age from 40-80 and one who has not done any foreign travel. We are all on a budget and have been researching available tours for May of 2005. Can any of you give me some tour company recommendations? I know most of you prefer to travel independently, as I do, but in this circumstance we feel a tour may be less stressful for Mom. (She does have some difficulty getting around)
Any suggestions you can give are appreciated!

We did an Insight tour that gave us a week on the mainland and a week island hopping. I enjoyed it and climbed the Acropolis on the 6-week anniversary of abdominal surgery and to the top of Agamemmon's fortress at Mycennae the next day, but I was 66, not 80. If your mother has difficulty walking, you probably need to talk to a travel agent. Lots of Greece was pretty tough climbing and a lot of walking in ruins.

hi JEBoyc

Two popular tour operators based in Athens are CHAT and Key Tours. I have used each for day trips only but I know that they also offer much longer tours of Greece for up to 11 days. Their web addresses are:-

http://www.chatours.gr/

http://www.keytours.com/

Hope those help

Have you considered a cruise? There are many companies with different itineraries. Pick a travel company that has extensive cruise knowledge, such as a Voyager associated company.
