Acommodations on Paros
We are visiting Greece the last two weeks of May and plan to see Athens, Santorini and Paros. There will be 7 of us - siblings and spouses in our late 60s and early 70s. We have a hotel in Athens and a rental on Santorini but are still searching for a place on Paros. Ideally, we would like a rental villa but inns, b&bs or small hotels would work, too.
Does anyone have a suggestion? We prefer within walking distance of a town with restaurants, etc., We are all good walkers. Our price range is up to E600 per day.
We always plan our own trips and use this forum extensively. It is interesting that there seems to be less information on Greece than we find for our usual destinations.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You can start your search on http://www.parosweb.com/paros-accommodation/, which shows a wide range of accommodation. Were I to stay on Paros it would be either in Naoussa or Parikia. I prefer to stay on Antiparos, a small island only seven (7) minutes by ferry from Pounta on Paros, or 30 minutes by excursion boat from Parikia, the main port town of Paros.

Use the filter system at http://www.booking.com to search for your villa. Also check here: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals.../paros/parikia
Parikia is the main village with the most to offer. To make sure you'll be within walking distance to the center of the village check any villa's map on the booking.com website to be sure of the property's location.

A very nice place to check is Stagones Luxury Villas near Ambelas, but the catch is that quite likely you will need a car to explore around and Ambelas is somehow far away, so not easy to walk there every day, a car might be necessary there too. Really nice accommodation with great service and calm environments and Ambelas has a really local intimate feeling.
An other place I am very familiar with is Kanales Rooms & Suites in Naoussa. It is 2 minutes walk to Piperi beach, 2 minutes to nearest bus stop and less than 10 minutes walk to Naoussa Harbour, so no transport issues here. It is less luxurious than Stagones but makes for a nice stay and I think it will suit you as far as you request a superior room or a suite and avoid all the standard rooms. Standard rooms are not up to the standard of the other rooms available on this hotel and I would avoid at all costs.
Furthermore, you should notify hotel you want some rooms easy to reach from the secondary entrance in order to avoid many stairs. A good suggestion is superior rooms starting with 3 such as 311,312,314 or so, but not the ones starting with 2 such as 221 or 222 or similar. 300s are more spacey and in better location within the complex.

We stayed at Stelia Mare in Naoussa. It was a great location, walkable to beach and restaurants with a helpful, friendly staff. We had a car delivered to the hotel (arranged by hotel) for a few days for day trips around the island and to Antiparos.

Another recommendation for STELIA MARE in Naoussa. How much can I rave about it? We liked it so much last year, we've already booked to go back. It's a lovely small boutique hotel with an excellent staff, very close to the center of Naoussa. We booked a rental car through HERTZ, and also had the car delivered to the hotel.
This will be our third visit to Paros. Make sure you don't miss these beaches: PAROSPOROS, and, in the other direction, GOLDEN SUNSHINE BEACH.
