Accomodations in Lucca

We will be staying in Lucca 9/21-9/26 and find there are few hotels inside the city walls with availability for those dates. Can anyone recommend B&B's inside the city walls, preferably near the city center?

Thanks for your help.

I can suggest two that get good reviews:

Villa Anna
B&B Anfiteatro

Good luck--you will like Lucca.

Bob! Great to *see* you! How are you?

I second Bob's reco of B&B Anfiteatro (likely because he recommended it to me several years ago)

And would also add Guest Apartment Margherita - we were the last people to rent this as a complete apartment. It is now a B&B with outstanding reviews. We can attest to the fact it's a beautiful apartment

My husband and I are staying here in September, B&B Il Duomo:

It came recommended by good friends who stayed there last year. I just checked and they have two rooms available for your dates.

I stayed at Lucca in Villa Elisa in 2013. http://www.luccainvilla.it/en/ It was modern, clean, had free loaner bikes, and a nice breakfast. We only stayed one night but I remember it being a good experience. It's just outside the city walls and close to a grocery store.

If you'll have a car, it's probably best to stay outside the city walls. There are numerous lodgings just outside the walls, many with private parking. Inside the walls, parking is very scarce. We stayed just outside the walls when we were in Lucca. It was over ten years ago, and I can't remember the name of the place, so I'm no help there.

We stayed here at La Boheme B&B this past August. Great location and air-conditioned rooms!
