Accommodations needed for last 1-2 nights of honeymoon in Lucca or Pisa

Jump to last reply

I am rounding out the final days before our departure from Pisa. I understand that Lucca is a viable location for a morning taxi to the Pisa airport. Would Lucca be a nicer end to a honeymoon than Pisa? My instinct tells me yes. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or B&B in either town for one or two nights before departure? We aren’t looking for a splurge here, we’d like something modest but nice enough and quant/romantic. We won’t be looking to do any targeted sightseeing. We will like a location with charming surroundings for leisurely wandering around and romantic restaurants, cafes, wine bars, etc. for a sweet ending to our honeymoon. We will need to drop off our rental car on this last stop also and I’m wondering how difficult driving between Montepulciano and the car depot will be?

Thank you.
