accommodation in the Finnish lake district

I will be travelling with my husband from Helsinki to kuhmo for the chamber music festival in late July. We will be renting a car. How difficult would it be find accommodation vacancies along the way without having to book in advance. We are on a tight budget and would prefer not to go over the 100E per room.
