My husband and I are planning a trip to England in June. We plan to spend several days in Canterbury. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel or B&B in or near the center of town? Would appreciate any input.

we stayed in Faversham, a short train ride away.
As I posted on your other thread -we really do need your budget.
I stayed at the Cathedral Gate Hotel - http://www.cathgate.co.uk/ - hard to get any more central. I enjoyed it, but it was a LONG time ago, and the TA reviews are very mixed.
LOL. The title of your thread brings back memories of a night DH and I spent in a B&B in Canterbury. They were in the midst of an awful heat wave, the room at the B&B was papered in red flocked wall paper, and the windows were nailed shut. We almost died. Fortunately, we were only booked for one night. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the place. The next morning, we left from Dover on the ferry to France and sailed into blessedly cool weather.
There is ABode in the city centre and Slatters also in the city centre. As I live close to Canterbury I have no experience of either. I just know they are there you may want to do further research.
