I have a problem. I really, REALLY want to go to a music festival in Europe and most of them are 3-day festivals.
1. Either I get a ticket for the whole thing and book a hostel + travel to and from the festival.
2. Buy a tent and camp alone and therefore leaving the tent behind coz im backpacking (can be really expensive)
3. Just wait until i meet someone before i go and get a ticket (chance is that the tickets might sell out!!)
4. Get a ticket and try meet someone there and camp with them (but can be risky)...
Any ideas? Or if you're going to a festival between july/mid-august, let me know!!
Accommodation for festivals!!

Most people buy a cheap tent and abandon it at the end of the festival. You can buy pop-up tents really cheaply once you arrive in whichever country you are visiting.
Festivals in Europe, especially the camping part of it, sell out really qickly as a rule, so if you know you which you want to visit you need to act now. You are already too late for some. Lowlands, in the Netherlands sold out in under 45 minutes I believe.
What kind of music are you looking at ?
In Provence we have longer classic festival in Aix and the Piano music festival in La Roque d'Antheron
I don't think the OP wants a piano classical music festival, just a hunch. Besides, you don't need to buy tickets to them for the whole festival, just by event, so the question wouldn't make sense (for classical music).
