A very bad experience with Rentalcars

The worst experience ever I endured with Rentalcars. It's not a car-rental company, as you would think at first, but it is just a bunch of brokers somewhere in a call-center. They debited me for € 698,03 without me ever seeing the car, which I had cancelled 2 weeks earlier anyway! It took them 1 month to answer my complaint. My creditcard-company credited me after their unfairly charge, but later also couldn't deal with these people.

A horrible waste of time and money, be aware before you rent..

Wishing you all trouble-free holidays,

Hans

First post and a complaint? When and where did this take place? Europe is a big place. Sounds rather fishy, Hans! Who do you work for?

I just do not get this. This company is part of the Priceline commemorate. Are they (Priceline) really that bad?
I have just read some other forum reviews on this company. It is always those who moan who do not read the small print.
Please do not sign up to moan, maybe it should be a a forum regulation no moaning until at least 5 posts (of a good quality)

There have been whole threads about this company, and I seem to remember someone saying that it works well in the USA but not so well in Europe. I was sufficiently concerned to cancel my reservation with them and go with AutoEurope again in Oct. It had been recommended by my TA, I might add.

Hi Robert2533, I don't work for any company, i'm a pensionate from Holland. Rentalcars really cheated me and overall their relation to me (as a customer) was bad. And for Ribeirasacra: Ok, i do not eread the small print. I just trusted that company . I'm moaning because I feel, know and am sure they are too much arrogant to even move their ass, research my complaint and refund my "stolen' money. Thank you and best regards.

p.s. : the event took place in Ibiza - though it didn't even take place - the car was cancelled 2 weeks previous my arrival there.
