I'm in Rome 11/4 - 11/6 and having trouble
finding lodging. Is there a town or city
nearby that is interesting and still has good access. Thanks!
A town near Rome 11/04 - 11/06? Rome filling up.

Try the Pensione Primavera, near Piazza Navona, a bit pricey but very convenient!
I stayed in a flat 10 minutes outside (Rome's suburbs) of the city centre, accessible by bus. If you're desperate (I know how it feels)I can give you the owner's email. It's very clean and simple, with a kitchen and bathroom, much cheaper and more convenient than any hotel. Good luck, finding somewhere in Rome is difficult, but it's worth every bit of stress, it's incredible!
Just to fill you in. Weds. November 1 is a holiday in much of Catholic Europe. So many people are taking advantage of it and making it a long weekend (or short week). I'll be in Sorrento/Rome Nov. 1-5.
Thanks for your suggestions. I have emailed every hotel I could find on the web and nothing is available. I'm going
to be leaving tomorrow so will probably try the train station then head out on a train to a nearby town if nothing is available. funny, I didn't have any trouble getting airline tickets!
