A Spa On Arrival In Germany
On my annual trips from Melbourne, Australia to Europe, I usually fly Singapore Airlines via Singapore to Frankfurt, arriving at about 6.00AM. After the 22 hour trip, time in a spa is an excellent way to overcome flight fatigue. On recent trips, I have caught the train from the airport to places such as Bad Hersfeld or Wiesbaden where I have booked into my hotel and then adjourned immediately to a nearby spa, where recuperation proceeded apace. Next trip, I'm looking for another spa town to sample, within a 2/3 hour train ride from Frankfurt Airport. Any suggestions about a town, hotel and/or spa?

Bad-Homburg has two,
the Tanus Therme and the Kur Royal
It's a nice little town with a beautiful park. We've been to the Tanus twice and it was perfect the first time and very good the second.
Haven't been the Kur Royal
A little closer is the Titus. We didn't go to this one as it was in the process of being remodeled while we were there. It's right next to the Courtyard Frankfurt NordWestZentrum. This is a Marriott hotel in a shopping center, an easy commute from the airport.

You could try Wiesbaden. It is a lovely town, about 30 min. by train from Frankfurt. The historic Hotel Nassauer Hof has a spa and is perfectly situated across from the casino and kurpark. It is also a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. I enjoyed my stay there. The website is www.nassauer-hof.de
