A quick visit to Hampton Court

Hello Guys,

I am reaching Heathrow, London on the 11th October at around 11:30 AM and have time till 5:30 PM that day . I have been put up at the RadissonBlu hotel which is nearby to the airport. I wish to visit Hampton Court and have thought of taking an UBER. I shall Leave hotel at 12:45 PM and reach hampton court by 1:30 Max .. Is this right? I need to leave by 5:15 and as far as I have read and heard about this place its quite big to cover in few hours. Please suggest the must visit places inside and how do I get back from there.

Thanks.

I don't understand the hotel. Check-in is at 3:00. You would be better off leaving your luggage at Heathrow.

Are you flying in from outside the EU? If so you are not allowing enough time for pasport control.

Why do you think it will take 45 minutes to get to HP but only 15 min to get back? When you say 5:30, how long are you leaving before your flight and where is it going?

You can usually leave luggage at a hotel before checking so that shouldn't be a problem.

Are you flying in long haul? If so, if you arrive at LHR at 11:30 there is practically no way you will be at your hotel to drop your bags by 12:30.

Count on at least 2 hours at LHR with immigration, baggage claim and getting to your hotel (Hotel Hoppa bus or a taxi) So say 1:30 to 2PM to drop your bags. But it could be even later.

This is a week day so count on about an hour from the hotel to the Palace. So maybe you'll be at the Palace by 3PM.

Where do you need to be at 5:30? Back at the hotel? At LHR? Someplace else?

Sorry for the incomplete details. Well I am coming there for a business trip and have to be at a meeting at sharp 6:30 PM the day i reach. I have seen other must see places and hampton court is one of the 2-3 places remaining so I have to badly visit it. I checked on UBER and it takes approximate 25 mins to reach hampton court from my hotel. Now, please suggest the must visit places inside and how do I get back from there.

Assuming Uber is still running why would you not take it back?

As for what to see, go here and pick what interests YOU, not me:

https://www.hrp.org.uk/hampton-court-palace/explore/

There are directions on the same site.

Weekday afternoon from Radisson Blu to HCP should be about 30/35 mins as it's outside the rush hour.

Yes, but back to the hotel will be during rush hour and take longer.

Seems to me you really don;t have time for this.

Do you want to SEE Hampton Court, or just say you'd been there? Maybe you should save it for another visit. What about the other 2-3 places you haven't yet seen?
