a question regarding night trains

Jump to last reply

night trains are confusing the heck out of me, i would appreciate any kind of help :)

I will travel with a 2nd class youth select 5 countries Eurail pass. and i'll be taking a night train from Zurich ---> Rome and from Venice ---> Vienna

So with a 2nd class pass in hand, can i just pay more and book a double sleeper car, which requires a 1st class ticket? we're traveling as a group of 4 and we don't like to sleep with other people. unfortunately these trains don't have 4 ppl couchette :(

thanks everyone!!
