a nice city break in september for 4 days?

I'm looking for a city break somewhere in europe for 5 days. We are looking to go in september time. I have been to Rome, Florence, Edinburgh and Paris so i am interested to go to another city which is like Rome, Florence, Edinburgh and Paris with a lots of History, good restaurants, friendly people (apart from Paris). Where would you recommend to go? I would love to hear your opinions

I loved Barcelona. There is great architecture, I found the food delicious and very varied, and the people warm and helpful. There is a nice mix of museums, markets, parks and obviously the beaches too.

If you click on my ID and go to my trip reports there is one for a 5 day break on there.

I love Amsterdam. A smaller walkable city with great museums, historical sites, friendly helpful locals, charming neighborhoods.
English spoken by most.

Well I tihnk London is the obvious choice if you're never been there.

Other good options for that time of year are Berlin, Prague, Budapest or even Vienna. All are good for a limited time - perhaps with one day trip from P or B.

Lisboa. Lots to see and do in 4 days, including a side trip to Sintra.

Liboetas are pretty friendly.

Check out the Gulbenkian Museum.
