A Complete Photo Essay of the 12th Arrondissement
The 12th arrondissement has some tourist worthy sites but for the most part is little explored by tourists, or me for that matter. So I decided to ride my bike through just about every street in the 12th and report back to you about what I found, photos included of course. I found some interesting places and perhaps you might like to visit them on your next trip to Paris if you feel like doing something a little different. Here's the link to my report:

Michel - The Mrs. told me I need to do one for every arrondissement. Perhaps. It's a very daunting task.
Coquelicot - Those damn school kids just dashed out in front of my camera. You'll notice later in the report that true to my form I was even able to evacuate Parisian streets with my presence.

FMT, great photos. Maybe the proprietor of the fruit stand would be impressed if you told him how many people were looking at your photos and that perhaps a lot of them might visit his establishment and purchase some of those delectable-looking oranges --Free advertising. . . Thanks for the good work, as usual.

FMT, I'm not even a quarter of the way through and am really enjoying your tour. You've done a marvellous job with the pictures and your captions are very informative.

Another wow! I totally loved that - thanks so much for taking the time to post your adventure and for taking us along.
We're leaving for Paris in 10 days, so I'm encouraged by those brilliant, blue skies and what looks like fairly mild temps. I am not encouraged by the latest exchange rate, however! ;-)

YankGal - Blue skies are a rare species in the winter in Paris so if you get them, enjoy them. If not, just remember, you're in Paris! Daytime temps for about the next week appear to be in the low 40°F range. Yes, the exchange rate....ugh.

Great pics and info, thanks for sharing! Making a trip to Paris soon and would like to get away from the usual sites/sights, so am inspired to try the 12th. Perhaps March d'Aligre and Bercy Village...

Sidny - There are so many great areas to stay away from central Paris if you feel like finding something a little different and whichever one you choose will have its own flavor. I'm sure you won't be disappointed no matter which area you choose. Have fun on your trip!
