9 Days - February - Best Plan on Where

When each of our four kids turn 16 on of us takes them someplace they've never been, I took older sis to Paris for 9 days. Husband gets to take son to Europe in Feb 2006, his first time overseas and his choice. He wants to do Paris and some other city or place. What will interest a 16 year old, takes french in school. Husband wishes he wanted to go someplace warm like carribean since we live in New England, but son keeps asking for europe. So assuming Paris for 3-4 days Where else might they go that would be as much fun? And unfortunately with older sister in college, money is an issue.

Hi molly4669,

The French or Italian Riviera seems a perfect fit. The city of Nice or Cannes if the boy wants action; or Villefranch if he wants a slower pace.

it means bringing it up to the top so people can respond! This was sort of lost.

I think Paris is a good choice, Feb sure isn't going to be warm, but it's Paris. The easiest "other" option for me would be London because there is so much do to there and it is fun to go city-center-to city center on the Chunnel train. London is expensive, but in Feb I would bet you could get some good deals.

As uhoh correctly points out, "topping" refers to adding any trivial message to a thread ("ttt" = "to the top" is common) to bring it back up to the top. I "topped" this for you, because it appeared that you had "lost" this (and maybe your other threads as well?)

Most likely didn't know about "click on your own name" - - a valuable tip that fodors fails to provide to you when they send that initial e-mail confirming your registration.

Best wishes,
