Hi. We hope to be in Spain next May. Arrive in Madrid 5/24 and we depart 5/31 from Madrid. ideally, i want to spend 4 days (at least) in Madrid with a side trip to Toledo and then get to either Granada (Alhambra) or Sevilla. Is this doable? how to split up? THanks

Depending on where you are flying in from, the first day can be a loss. You need the time to adjust, both the jet lag and dining time differences.
Based on your preliminary itinerary, you can do the first 4 days in Madrid (with a side trip to Toledo) and finish with either three days in Sevilla, or or two days in Sevilla and your last day/night in Granada, flying out of Granada to Madrid on a connecting flight.
you could take AVE to Seville and stop in Cordova
or train / fly to Granada.
I would not attempt to do both.
Hi. Connections are near impossible. WE arrive at 8 am and depart around the same time. would we be smarter to go directly to Sevilla when we land and stay there for 3 days and spend the remaining 4 in Madrid with a side trip to Toledo or should we just stay in Madrid for a week with 2 side trips (Toledo and Segovia). have never been to Sevilla and would love to be able to fit it in...
If you've never been to Sevilla, then I would head for south for a few days, returning to Madrid to finish off your week in Spain.
Either stay in Madrid and enjoy it and the area, or spend 3 nights in Seville and then train back to Madrid. But it's a shame to miss Granada and the Alhambra. Can you do 10 nights?
