7 days in Portugal-itinerary help
This is my first trip to Portugal and I will have 7 full days. I'm flying from Spain into either Lisbon or Porto, but wanted to get advice before finalizing my flight and my hotels.
I definitely want to see Sintra and of course, Lisbon. Since I fly home from Lisbon I thought I may want to do that at the end of my trip.
Besides, Sintra and Lisbon, I'm interested in Porto/Duoro Valley, and possibly Evora and Obidas. I love quaint, small towns, wine and architecture.
Here are my questions:
--Would you recommend splitting my time between Lisbon and Porto or basing out of Lisbon and taking side trips from there instead of trying to do Porto too?
--Are there other must sees that I should include?
--Open to advice and refining of my loose plan.
Thanks!!

7 days is pretty tight, but if you can fly into Porto, spend your first three days there, and then take the train down to Lisbon, you should be able to see most of what you want.
You can do a river cruse up the Douro River Valley, or take the train up and boat back. No need for a car.
Sintra is an easy day trip from Lisbon.

As Robert says 7 days is tight, flying open jaw saves you backtracking.
I'm "sitting on the fence" on this one. But I did both cities over 5 days and went open jaw (plus another 5 days in the Azores)
Check if there are any festivals in Lisbon while you are there, you could go

I moved my itinerary around and now I have 9 days. I'm hoping the two extra days will get me some more of the sties I want to see.
So now I'm flying into Porto and will arrive around noon. I can do 2 days in Porto, 1 in the Duoro Valley. I can still get 6 days to do Lisbon, Sintra and maybe Evora.
The question now is should I overnight or spend a day in any cities on the way from Porto to Lisbon? Obidas, Nazare, Coimbra.
Thanks!
