7-day visa for Yugoslavia is easy

This morning near Goloucester Road in London it took me forty minutes and 34 pounds to obtain a transit visa for Yugoslavia. I had no "invitation", no pre-booked hotels, and no ticket to prove that I could leave the country.

I'm British, so I asked about Americans. Oh, said the consular officer, there's no difference. We do this for everybody.

Please write if I can comment further.

Ben Haines, London
